ELC Philosophy & Mission

Our mission is to help families to live fully Alive in Christ.

Core Values

ELC Staff is charged with upholding the church's values of fostering healthy habits, giving grace upon grace, and spiritually leading the children. We recognize that spiritual health is a key part of holistic health, and a unique aspect of our program. Our environment will encourage families to be healthier, kinder, and bolder in their daily walk.

As staff, we focus on three of the church’s core values: Health, Grace, and Discipleship.

A Place for Health

A Place for Growth

Children learn best through play.  It is our job to provide them with a safe, stimulating, and challenging environment so they can learn and grow through their natural curiosity.

Our program delights in the beauty of God's creation.  We spend lots of time outside in our garden, nature trail, and natural playground.  Nature reflects its Creator, and helps us to focus on Him and His design for us.  Plus, more time outdoors has also been linked to improved attention, lower stress, better mood, and even increased empathy.

Our small classrooms, and higher teacher-to-child ratios allow us to personalize the learning experience, and to deepen the relationships formed.

We foster healthy living habits in our students. Some daily habits are physical, such as taking care of our classroom and our own bodies. Others are emotional, like checking in with others before interrupting their plans. And still others are spiritual, like our daily prayers.

A Place for Grace

A grace-filled staff helps the children to feel safe and loved. Children are encouraged to boldly try new things, to fail without criticism, and to persist in trying, so that they can grow. The evidence of this growth is their ability to share that growth with others - to teach and multiply the learning.

A Place for Discipleship

We offer an intentional Christian learning environment including daily chapel, curriculum ties to Biblical concepts, Scripture and prayer used throughout the day. Children are guided through the ongoing process of becoming fully alive in Christ.

Our Vision

Our aim is not to cater only to Christian families, but instead to provide a Christ-centered environment to everyone who enters.  Our staff is here to love on the families regardless of church affiliation, and to provide opportunities to live more vibrantly. We want to develop deep relationships with the families we serve so that discipleship relationships naturally develop.
